We received word from Andy Burbidge of the Midwest Blues today that the recent vote was overwhelmingly in favor of the four regional clubs (Pacific Coast Blues, Texas Blues, Midwest Blues, and Southeast Blues) joining together to form a larger umbrella organization that will function as an official supporters club.

Members of Pacific Coast Blues will automatically be members of the larger umbrella organization (name yet to be finalized). 

Details of the results are available on the CIA website. You will need to be registered on the site in order to access the announcement (under Announcements >> Voting >> Vote Results).

Also overwhelmingly approved were Beth Wild of Texas Blues as Club Secretary, and Andy Burbidge as Club Treasurer.

There is still much work to be done as far as getting the details hammered out. Updates will be posted on the website here as information becomes available.
