Chelsea vs. Fulham... Live & Direct from the Bridge! Pacific Coast Blue & OC Hooligan Andy Wray’s Day at Stamford Bridge On the return leg from an exciting cruise through Turkey, Greece, and Egypt- I was able to make arrangements with the help of the Pacific Coast Blues on September 29th to see Chelsea play cross-town rivals Fulham FC. Along the way, my trusty 2005 CFC Centenary Jersey saw parts of Istanbul, ruins in Athens, and even posed for pics with both the Sphinx & Pyramids. (see photo below).

That Saturday started of with a bit of rain, as I hopped off the Underground at the Fulham/Broadway station, and followed a sea of Blue out in the street in front of “The Bridge”. There were street-vendors, people selling shirts, and a bunch of Chelsea Fans ready for a good showing against our opponents. We all had a sense we were going to see a heck of a game, Didier Drogba would be back in the line up and the 1st home game under Avram Grant! The game started out fast and furious, the atmosphere was electric- with “Carefree” & “Jose Mourinho” being chanted like there was no tomorrow- sitting in the “Shed End” was chalked full of passionate True Blue Supporters, and to my surprise, Roman Ambrovich was also amongst the Chelsea Faithful! The front row seats were awesome, we had several chances to score and were all concerned when JT went down hurt. After the red card to Drogs, we were biting our nails to keep our EPL Home Unbeaten Record Alive- which we did with a ‘nil-nil tie. The day was magical- from warm-ups to the final whistle- there is something special about seeing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge! After this trip, sure am looking forward to traveling as a group of PCB’s together some day- so we can all experience a Chelsea match at the Bridge.
