OC Blues Newsletter 08/08/07

Hey Fellow OC Blues Supporters-

Wow can you believe it- next week the EPL Season begins and trying to get things locked down- at least for the next couple of months. Here’s a couple of things for us OC Blues to ponder & discuss.

1) Group Meetings
As you all know its tough to find a pub that will be open for many of the games, I have some Good News! Yesterday, I spoke to the owner of the Olde Ship in Santa Ana and thy have "allowed us to go to the Pub for weeken Chelsea matches. The Olde Ship  1120 W 17th Street in Santa Ana CA   92706    Tel    714-550-6700 (on 17th Street between Flower and Bristol) As of now, I think the 7:00, 8:00, 9:15, & 11:00 games are "Group-able" for many of us- I know we sound like fannys- but lets look at it realistically, first we need to have a big group to get them to open at 5:30 for us- Below is the meeting schedule for the next couple of months- or at least before we get a steady crew to have the Ship open early- Opening hours are 11:00 Saturday & 9:00 on Sunday

8/19 Liverpool on Sunday 9:00  -  (YES for 100% sure..BIG Game)8/25 Portsmouth on Saturday 8:00  - (If turn out will open early-let me know)

9/2   Aston Villa on Sunday 9:00   -  (Yes)

9/15 Blackburn on Saturday 10:15 - - (If turn out will open early-let me know)

9/23 ManU on Sunday 9:00 (YES for 100% sure..BIG Game)

3) 2007/08 Fixtures Schedule
Available as an Excel file of all of Chelsea’s games this year. You can also add scores, W/L/D, and we can pencil in TV Schedules as they become available on Fox Soccer & Setanta. Everything on this sheet is amendable, and you can update whenever you like!

4) PCB/Pacific Coast Blues are OFFICIAL! (….well almost)
Just heard from Beth S/Oregon and we have been granted trial charter, whereas when we get to 40 members we will be allowed Official Chelsea Supporters Club! We are so close so please go to the website (www.pacificcoastblues.com)  & get your Membership Forms in! 

Overall, its really nice to have you guys on board & really look forward to hearing from you all, meeting as many as we can at matches, and seeing the Blues do well this season!
